Overview

JustCancel ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the JustCancel mobile application ("App").

The short version: We don't collect, store, or share your personal financial data. Period.

Information We DON'T Collect

We want to be crystal clear about what we do NOT collect or store:

  • ❌ Bank statements or financial documents
  • ❌ Transaction history or details
  • ❌ Account numbers or balances
  • ❌ Personal identification information
  • ❌ Names, addresses, or contact information from your documents
  • ❌ Any data that could identify your financial accounts

How Your Data is Processed

When you upload bank statements to JustCancel:

  1. Local Processing: Your files are parsed directly on your device.
  2. Anonymization: Before any data leaves your device, we anonymize it by:
    • Removing all account numbers
    • Stripping names and personal identifiers
    • Removing exact dates (keeping only day/month for pattern detection)
    • Removing location data
  3. AI Analysis: Only anonymized transaction descriptions and amounts are sent to Google's Gemini AI for subscription detection.
  4. Immediate Deletion: Your original files are deleted from memory immediately after processing.

Information We DO Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous information to improve the App:

  • Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, features used) via Firebase Analytics. This data cannot identify you personally.
  • Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs to help us fix bugs.
  • Purchase Records: Apple manages all purchase transactions. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made, not payment details.

Third-Party Services

JustCancel uses the following third-party services:

Google Gemini AI

We use Google's Gemini AI to analyze anonymized transaction data. Only non-identifiable transaction descriptions are sent. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing: Google Privacy Policy

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for anonymous analytics only. No personal data or financial information is sent to Firebase. Firebase Privacy

Apple App Store

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple Privacy Policy

Data Storage

We do not maintain servers that store user data. The App works primarily on-device:

  • Your bank statements are never uploaded to our servers
  • Analysis results are stored locally on your device only
  • Purchase status is managed by Apple and verified on-device

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to delete. However, you have the right to:

  • Uninstall the App at any time, which removes all local data
  • Request information about what data we process (answer: none that identifies you)
  • Contact us with privacy concerns

Children's Privacy

JustCancel is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
